Two novice groups (students) performed the same technical task in either environment and one expert control group (professional marine engineers) performed the same technical task in immersive virtual reality.
Pre-test of identifying 20 system components on a 2D line diagram. Performance measures, raw-tlx and flow state measured after treatment. Post-test on memory retention.
