The inclusion criteria were Caucasian ethnicity, age 16–19 years, normal colour vision, being healthy with no known ocular abnormalities and no medication, stereo acuity <= 120’’ (TNO-test), and normal corrected visual acuity. The participants were confirmed to be normal trichromats by cone opsin genetics. Cycloplegic autorefraction and ocular biometry were obtained. The relative number of long (L) versus middle (M) wavelength sensitive cones (L:M cone ratios) were estimated from spectral sensitivity functions measured with full-field ERG, after adjusting for individual differences in the wavelength of peak absorption deduced from cone opsin genetics. The dataset includes for each participant: ID - identification code Age - given in years L opsin haplotype - L cone opsin gene haplotype L exon 3 - heterozygosity versus homozygosity for L cone opsin gene exon 3 %L cones - estimated from L:M cone ratio SER - cycloplegic spherical equivalent refractive error in diopters [D] AL - ocular axial length in millimetres [mm] Please see Hagen et al. (2019) for a more detailed description of methods and data. ----------- REFERENCE ----------- Hagen LA, Arnegard S, Kuchenbecker JA, Gilson SJ, Neitz M, Neitz J, Baraas R.
